I’ve been dreaming about Japan. I have lots of friends and family who have gone and they all love it. I want to soak in an Onsen, and stumble into a little whiskey bar stocked with records, to eat all the ramen and seafood, to see the city and the mountains, to pilgrimage to shrines, big and small

Book you’d recommend to almost anyone:
Stones for Ibarra by Harriett Doerr. She strings words into sentences like placing pearls on a string creating elegant sentences, perfect in their grace and economy.
Favorite restaurants anywhere, or your secret local spots?:
Rory’s Place, right now it’s a supper club in Ojai. But soon to be a beautiful restaurant/market on the Main Street. I can’t wait! @rorys_place_ojai.
Place you’ve been, and want to go back:
Paris. I haven’t been since I was 18 and I’d love to go back.

Learning.
What are your vices?:
Procrastination and self doubt.
How would you describe your style?
These days I tend to reach for my classic pieces. White tank tops and Levi’s. Sometimes I mix my special vintage pieces. I guess I’d describe my style as classic, mixed with 90’s, mixed with vintage? That’s a style, right?
You’re about to leave for a spur of the moment adventure. What are the five things you take with you?:
Sunscreen, hat, bathing suit (if there’s no swimming is it even an adventure?), snacks, and water.
Best advice:
Go to therapy.
What have you learned during quarantine?:
I’ve learned (repeatedly and forgotten repeatedly) to be in the moment. Future tripping isn’t helpful.
